Transforming Faith Baptist Church Installs New Pastor

N. Moore Road, announced the installation services of new
pastor, Rev. Brian L. Nixon. Rev. Nixon will serve as the second pastor in the short history of the church, which was founded in 2005 by Rev. Kenneth and Mrs. Ruth Brinkley.
The weekend celebration will begin on Saturday, March 20,
at 5 p.m., with a praise and worship service featuring Rev. Jeffrey Robinson, pastor of St. Mark Missionary Baptist
Church, Oak City, N.C.
The installation service will be Sunday, March 21, at 4 p.m.
Rev. Wayne L. Johnson, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, will deliver the installation message. Both services will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3777 Wilcox Boulevard.
The Sunday morning worship service will be at 9:30 a.m. at Transforming Faith Baptist Church on Moore Road (the
Chapel at Phillips Temple CME Church). Rev. Sidney Locks Jr., pastor of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, Greenville, N.C., will be the guest speaker.
Rev. Brian Nixon, born in Denver, N.C., received a dual B.S. degree in Economics and Business from North Carolina State University. Upon graduation in 1990, he accepted employment with the Dupont Company in Wilmington, Delaware. Since his call into the ministry in 1995, Rev. Nixon has done graduate studies in Divinity at Shaw University. In 2005, Rev. Nixon became the pastor of the Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Pungoteague, Va.
In 2009, Rev. Nixon and his family moved to Chattanooga and became members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He is married to the former Kimberly Whittington. They have three children, Amber, Brandon, and Christa. They currently reside in Ooltewah.
