Our First Family
Amber Nixon was born in Greenville, NC. As a young child, she became an active member at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church. Amber enjoyed many hobbies and activities such as basketball, gymnastics, and soccer while living in Greenville. In 2002, she moved with the family to Salisbury, Md. While in Salisbury, Amber became a member of the award winning teams of “Destination Imagination” that competed at the regional and state levels. Amber also became interested in music and learned to play the violin, clarinet, and saxophone. She attended James M. Bennett High School and was a member of their award winning JMB Marching Band. Amber was also a very active member at Holy Trinity Baptist Church where she served as Youth Dance Ministry Choreographer, SOCK Ministry Chairperson, and was a member of the Praise Posse Choir. In 2009, Amber moved with her family to Ooltewah, TN. She attends East Hamilton High and is a member of the Marching & Concert Bands. She is the Manager of the Women’s Basketball Team and is a member of the East Hamilton HS Track team.
Brandon Nixon was born and raised in Greenville, NC. He attended Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church. Brandon enjoyed several hobbies and youth activities such as baseball and soccer while living in Greenville. In 2002, he moved with the family to Salisbury, Md. While in Salisbury, Brandon became very active in the Salvation Army Football program and was a member of the 2- time Champion Green Terrors Football Team. Brandon also became interested in band and learned to play the Alto and Tenor Saxophones for his elementary school band. Brandon was also a very active member at Holy Trinity Baptist Church where she served on the Youth Dance Ministry, was a member of the Praise Posse Choir, served as the church’s second drummer, and served as his father’s Armor Bearer. In 2009, Brandon moved with his family to Ooltewah, TN. He attends East Hamilton Middle School and is a member of the East Hamilton Middle School Football, the East Hamilton Middle School Wrestling Team, and the Sixth Grade Band.
Christa Nixon was born in Greenville, NC. She attended
Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church. In 2002, she moved with
her family to Salisbury, Md. While in Salisbury, Christa became
very
active in Salvation Army cheerleading teams and was a member
of
the Green Terror Cheerleading Squad. Christa was also a very
active member at Holy Trinity Baptist Church where she was baptized.
She served on the Youth Dance Ministry, was a member of the
Praise Posse Choir, and served on the Youth Usher Board. In 2009, Christa moved with her family to Ooltewah, TN. She attends Apison Elementary School and is a member of the YMCA Basketball
League.
